The annual support and maintenance is optional, costs between 15% and 35% of the license price and covers technical support, upgrades and bug fixing.​ 

As stated above, the Extradium license is granted per SharePoint farm, regardless of the number of servers in the farm. 

A specific user pack license may be upgraded to a higher user pack at any point in time.
